Cool Metal Brand Vehicle
Do you want to know how to create realistic view metal brand vehicle. Ok, I will try to explain to how you can do this.
I’ll be using a document size of 500×500 pixels for this tutorial. Fill the background with color of #242426 by using the Paint Bucket Tool.
Now we will set your logo, which we will create. Let it be the logo of Renault Megane car. Try to draw it by yourself. In the beginning create a new layer, then use the Polygonal Lasso Tool to make selection as shown below and fill it with any color, the color really doesn’t matter not.
After that create a new one selection and clear it with pressing Delete button.
Then deselect chosen area with Ctrl+D and apply Drop Shadow, Bevel and Emboss and Gradient Overlay layer styles to this layer.
Ok, continue to stylize the logo. Create a new one layer above and merge it with previous to get all layer effects in one. Then get out the Rectangular Marquee Tool to create the selection as on the picture below. After that select the Dodge Tool (Brush: 70 px, Range: Highlights, Exposure: 20%) and try to make a little dodge work.
Invert the selection with Select > Inverse and lighten slightly the lower part of the logo.
Then select the Burn Tool (Brush: 150 px, Range: Highlights, Exposure: 20%) and make a little bit darker selected area of the logo.
Remove the selection with Ctrl+D, then create a new layer and use the Polygonal Lasso Tool to create a new selection as on my screenshot, what you can see below. Fill selection with color of #8c95a2:
Remove selection again and use the Burn Tool to get the same effect as on my picture below.
Ok, now create a new selection and fill it with color of #dae3f1.
Remove selection with Ctrl+D again and apply the Dodge Tool with similar presets as before.
Now, merge all layer of logo in one and start to create metal effect. This can be done as follows: create a new layer and fill it with black color and apply Filter > Noise > Add Noise with current settings:
Then change layer mode to Screen and reduce this layer as shown on the picture below:
Then select the logo (Ctrl+Left click on the layer thumbnail in layers palette), now press Ctrl+Shift+I to invert the selection and clear selected area.
Remove the selection with Select > Deselect. After that use the Sharpen Tool to improve the sharpness of the texture.
Looks good! Isn’t it? Move to the next step. I would like to add some text. Use following presets for your text:
Write out the text.
I used Times New Roman, and for the “A” I used the “V” letter and flipped it vertically.
After that apply Drop Shadow, Bevel and Emboss, Gradient Overlay and Stroke layer styles to this text.
You should get the same result as mine:
That is it! We get a very good result, isn’t it? Get creative and you’ll come up with something amazing!
very nice posting . keep it .
